I really strongly agree with this. The Apple Sports app is from before there was such a thing as an app and it’s PERFECT. It even prominently tells you how to turn off betting lines, so you just get schedules, standings, and scores.
We don’t have leaders who can speak credibly about this as obscenity and desecration because we don’t have leaders who understand the US as a genuine polity with a history, as opposed to a set of consumer interest groups and worn-out rituals. If we did, fake beef in this setting would be hilarious.
