Here's how I came up with this number: the train is 200m long and it takes 18.9 seconds in the video to cover that distance, so 1.89 seconds in real life. So we get 200/1.89 = 105.7 m/S which is a little over 380 km/S. (2/2)

How fast are N scale trains really? I decided to find out just how fast is the Kato N scale TGV. Here it is going at top speed powered by a Kato power pack. This video was filmed at 240 fps and rendered at 24 fps (so 10x slow motion). Speed is 380 km/h! (a world record at the time). (1/2)
