Russell T Davies has gone too far this time
The Tory party was - by comparison with most other parties in world democracies - genuinely exceptional. And there are still all those voters out there who want to vote small-c conservative centre-right. But the party that served their interests exceptionally well for generations is gone.
I do think what’s happened to the Tory party and therefore Britain is seismic. It’s been - I believe - one of the most effective election-winning machines in the democratic world. This was a centre-right small c conservative country which sometimes wanted a bit of a Labour for fairness.
