The BBC should not have a ‘commercial content arm’ producing advertorials with the backing of the BBC brand.
Should do no more than license and promote BBC progs to wider audiences as was initially intended.
The French are taking digital sovereignty really seriously.
They've made huge progress with their own digital collaboration suite in the last year, so they can strip out Office365 and Google Workspace:

In times of flux, it's the responsibility of a CEO to create optionality — being ready to respond, for resilience. BP shareholders should punish the CEO for this politically motivated short-term move. But... they'll go for short term greed too, and probably vote through a bigger pay deal as thanks.
What kind of stupid do you have to be to decide that now is the moment to abandon even having the option of renewables and to double down on oil and gas.
They may make a quick buck in the next year or two, and the execs will all trouser a good few million each... but beyond that, BP is now f****d
"CEO said a thing!" journalism involves parroting the claims of a business leader or executive with absolutely no context, correction, or challenge whatsoever, no matter how elaborate the delusion.
