Excited to share that work from my PhD in the @mauricelab.bsky.social has been published in @cp-iscience.bsky.social. ❔️Why do mutations in two Wnt pathway genes lead to different clinical features in hepatocellular carcinoma? 📄Read the paper for our insights: doi.org/10.1016/j.is...
Want to learn the latest insights on how Wnt signaling controls cell behavior? Check out a new review by Madelon Maurice (@madelonmaurice.bsky.social) and Stephane Angers at @natrevmcb.bsky.social

In our new iScience paper we find that WNT7B marks specific pancreatic tumour cells that maintain a basal like state and correlate with more aggressive disease. WNT-high cells support the survival of neighbouring cells through cell-cell contact-dependent signalling. doi.org/10.1016/j.is...
Jelte van der Vaart, postdoc in our lab, has been awarded an NWO Veni grant! 🎉 He will develop human adrenal organoids to uncover how hormone producing cells change identity and function, shedding light on endocrine health. We're so proud of his achievement and will support him along the way 😁
We are proud to collaborate with Danny Sahtoe (@hubrechtinstitute.bsky.social), Florian I. Schmidt (Bonn University) and Thorsten Zenz (University of Zurich), alongside the team of Laigo Bio.
Yesterday, @antonvenhuizen.bsky.social successfully defended his thesis "Molecular mechanisms of the β-catenin destruction complex in health and disease", which describes the versatile field of WNT regulator AXIN1. We are super proud and wish Dr. Venhuizen all the best in Cambridge!
We will harness MARCH E3 ligases to selectively remove disease driving surface proteins. By bringing ligase and target together, SureTACs aim to overcome resistance and limit on target off tissue effects. Starting with B cell leukaemia and GI cancers 🔬✨
🚀 Big news from the Maurice lab! OutMARCH has secured an EIC Pathfinder grant to develop SureTACs, bispecific antibodies that degrade cancer driving membrane proteins, including previously undruggable targets. A new precision strategy to overcome therapy resistance in cancer. Thread 👇
