... stuff from my Ideas file just didn't make it in, or had to be adjusted as I went. But I'm the sort of writer who thinks up a Story He Must Tell, and nothing else will do, I guess. It's not a better or worse approach, just what's been working for me.
BTW, I live-posted my first time watching an El Santo movie (incidentally his first movie) in the middle of the night, last night. In case y'all missed it. Spoilers for a movie form 1958... And my wife informed me this morning that El Santo and El Enmascarado were used interchangeably IRL.

Incidentally, those two chapters I rewrote told the exact same story, and even had bits copied and pasted in from the original drafts, but were simply structured better.
#PretendPanel #WritingCommunity Well, my first draft was more or less my final draft. I mean sure, I edited and reworded a TON of stuff, but I only fully rewrote two chapters after I finished them and realized they just weren't interesting enough to make me keep writing. Of course, some... 1/2
