And it shows how valued BAPAM is by those we support, especially the free clinics at the core of our work.
As a sector, we need to listen to the individuals the UK’s world-leading creative industries depend on, to ensure that vital health services are person-centred, equitable and effective.
Key findings include:
BAPAM delivered nearly 2,800 free specialist clinical consultations and gave support for 3,400 clinical episodes in 2025
Most patients presented with musculoskeletal (41%), mental health (27%) & voice concerns (20%)
Since 2021 we have delivered 20,000+ psychotherapy sessions
Our data shows that without access to specialist sector-informed care, performers and professionals are at significant risk of long‑term health problems.
This report underscores the importance of system‑wide approaches to health in the performing arts.
