But in RPG terms, that would be the end game, not the majority of the campaign.
Depends on the game, for me. There are games where I want the players/PCs to have to make decisions about how kill-y they act, so that kind of rule wouldn't work for me a lot of the time.

The Loas and the aliens from Gibson's Sprawl trilogy are basically not mentioned when those books are discussed in the context of what cyberpunk is. Of course they're old, and genre is a fluid concept to begin with, but put spirits or aliens in your modern cyberpunk and people will get the vapors.
Still remember watching a preview screening a week before full release, getting the full impact of all its reveals, and walking home in dumbfounded silence with a fellow nerd, just processing what we'd seen.
