Rahm's new comments to @theathletic.com are consistent with the statement from his administration when Brian Sandalow and broke the story of Chicago's withdrawal from '26 World Cup bid 8 years ago, in the @chicago.suntimes.com chicago.suntimes.com/2018/3/14/18...
Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel defends his 2018 decision to keep the city out of the joint US/Canada/Mexico bid for this summer's World Cup finals
