Does anyone else feel like we're in this weird calm before the storm? Last few years of climate have been relatively stable but next few may well see rapid acceleration. We know the shit is going to hit the fan due to Strait of Hormuz being closed. Why aren't we doing something?
Why don't you know about Porto Alegre, Brazil? For ≈30 years, it wasn't run by politicians but by its people. Neighbourhood assemblies decided how money was spent. The poor got paved streets and clean water. Corruption fell. They buried the story; don't let them bury the idea.
