In 1936, Phil Piratin helped stop Mosley's fascists marching through London's East End. The real work was done in years of rent strikes and eviction fights. Two fascists he'd helped tore up their BUF cards. At the Battle of Cable Street, Labour told people to stay home - but the left showed up.
