The last great Mayan capital, Mayapán, Yucatán. This walled city, known as the "Banner of the Maya," is located about 40 km of Mérida This city had about 4,000 structures and its imposing Kukulkan castle, a replica of the one at Chichen Itza. It housed approximately 12,000 inhabitants. 1200-1450CE.
