Perfect week for #Wildflowerhour
#OrchidChallenge with the Northern Marsh-orchids now full flourish in my #Anglesey meadow.
Last year I counted 350, think there's going to be far more this year.
A privilege to be able to survey around the airfield at RAF Valley #Anglesey yesterday.

There's been some erosion on the Crigyll estuary but this brave little clump of Bird's-foot Trefoil has managed to cling on looking like a hanging basket on the sand bank

After 40 years of botany I finally became a rock-rose completist with these Spotted Rock-rose on Anglesey. A bonus Sphaerophoria scripta hoverfly joined in.I didn't recognise this as Spotted Rock-rose until I looked closely. The spots can be almost invisible to the untrained eye. #wildflowerhour
