The Front Range, in two photos:
1) Friday, near sunset, with clouds splitting the sun’s rays in a spectacularly evident way.
2) Saturday, a political advertisement for a CU Regent candidate. Not a QR code to his website, but a QR code to his Strava. 🤷♂️

82-0 on the 4th time through. Helps when you get Wilt in the first spin, Luka in the second, Jerry West in the third, and Magic in the fourth. It probably didn’t matter what team or position came up for the last spot (SF), but Jamal Mashburn is pretty good.

Wrapping up one of the strangest springs I can recall in Wisconsin...
Milwaukee had its record driest May, besting a record that had stood for 141 years.
That followed its record wettest April, which obliterated its previous record by over 2 inches.
The hypothetical “deals” outlined here underscore what @jimowczarski.bsky.social has been saying for months: the Bucks become irrelevant as it relates to contending for a title for years if that’s all they get for Giannis.
They may be with him, too, but he at least gives you a chance.

Here’s what it looked like toward the sun at the time of the first photo. If you squint, you can see crepuscular rays in most directions.
Fun with NWP on a Saturday…
Yay for a global 3.75-km MPAS forecast with NOAA’s regional physics suite!
LOL at the 1+ TB initialization file and 650+ GB six-hourly history files (+ 60+ GB six-hourly diagnostic files)!
Now to see whether this gives out verification lead palpitations next week…
