This is not the level of the pope, obviously, and Episcopalians don’t have quite the relationship to clergy Catholics do, but my husband is a priest and I know many priests, so it’s often hard to take them seriously in their vocation.
When my husband would do lower school chapel when our kids were in lower school, days when there’d been drama in the car on the way to school, they would provide feedback to him over the ways they felt he’d fell short of whatever his message to the students was.
