Once I got yelled at by the attorney who argued the case—Catherine Rorabach, the first woman to argue in front of SCOTUS—and even though I’ve had research cited by SCOTUS since, that remains my coolest repro story. (She wasn’t yelling b/c of me; she was yelling about inaction on climate change 🫠)

On this day in 1965, the Supreme Court in Griswold v. Connecticut struck down a Connecticut law criminalizing the use of contraception. Estelle Griswold, executive director of Planned Parenthood Connecticut, openly violated the law and was arrested to set the test case in motion. #WeTheMen
