My primary motivation for drinking is because I like the taste, and especially like exploring new tastes. It's often annoying to me that drinks contain alcohol, because I have to limit my consumption. So I appreciate and consume no/lo drinks because they allow me to still have that element. 2/3

Gotta be the "Finland doesn't exist" post.
This an interesting study, but to me it's missing one big factor - flavor! It identified four reasons for drinking alcohol (and for who) and mapped those to no/lo drinks: -for the “buzz” (enhancement) -to fit in (conformity) -to facilitate social occasions (social) -as a coping strategy 1/3

I'm not uninfluenced by the social and conformity aspects - if everyone else is drinking, then I'm likely to as well, but I'm fortunately not usually in environments where there's any stigma associated with not, and for people who are, I love that no/lo is a tool for avoiding that stigma. 3/3
