Both online and reality have elements of reality & falseness. I've found lack of anonymity & face-to-face engagement are sometimes barriers.

Just a lot of strange assumptions you have to make for something like this to pop into your head. And people do read books above a YA level, it's just that YA readers have a fan-like relationship with what they read. Books for adults don't typically permeate social media discourse, even before AI
