If you love short SF, or SF generally, a subscription to Clarkesworld is incredibly worth it. 50,000 words every month of stories, interviews and art for not a whole lot of money. Highly highly recommended.

Ultimately, we're hoping to add a few hundred new paid subscribers. That will let us complete the current cycle of pay increases, including a bump to 15 cents/word for fiction. Our target is October, but it is not the end. We'll be working on this until the pay rates are where they should be.
Why are we doing this? Almost everyone working in short fiction is underpaid for their work, particularly staff. It's an industry problem and we've been doing our part to clean up our own house. Celebrate our 20th anniversary by helping us do something for the team that made CW endure.

file770.com/2026-theodor... Honored that "We, the Fleet" (Clarkesworld) is a finalist for the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award. Amazed to be included in such a fantastic line up. Congrats to all my fellow nominees and thank you to Neil Clarke for running my strange bug story!
If you've been thinking abt it, now's a great time to sub. Huge range of stories and styles. Consistently featuring international authors and translated works. High hit rate of thoughtful stories. Award-winning work, but also trying out stuff like "The Mub." Why I'm always coming back. Check em out!
Clarkesworld was one of the first online magazines I submitted to. They eventually published one of my favourite short stories that I've written (drafted over one night, not sure I can still do that), 'muo-ka's Child'. Help Neil keep the lights on and increase pay.
Congratulations to @wtalabi.com for his Sauútiverse novella, "Descent", published in @clarkesworldmagazine.com, being a finalist in the 2026 @theignyteawards.bsky.social! 🚀💫📚
