Back in April I wrote an issue of @aiandgames.com about the Take Two AI team that was let go and how every gaming news outlet misrepresented the facts. www.aiandgames.com/p/the-take-t... Fortunately @gibiz.bsky.social decided to dig a little deeper to get the real story from @luked.bsky.social.
The degree to which the games industry eats its own is insane. Imagine if winning an oscar got your production company shuttered. Imagine if winning a national book award got your future book deals canceled. This is how the video games business behaves!

But I bet it’ll be a lot easier for llm slop to work with verse instead of blueprint so I’m sure it will be a net win for everyone right
Setting aside that I cannot imagine such a tool working even remotely well, I’ve seen content teams accomplish *so much* with visual scripting that deprecating blueprint in favor of a text based language (Verse) seems like a real loss for developers.
