“A beautiful yukata with a pattern dyed in shades of blue. It is a modern work (from the middle of the Meiji era to the early Showa era) depicting a Yukata from a kimono shop, Sakusen. It is also a figure that conveys the history of a long-established store founded in the late Edo period.

I've been playing with a new craft...foil embossing. There are parallels between it and printmaking, simplifying a design down, knowing where to have lines and not, working away with a hand tool.
