Once more: the Democratic Party has to stand for something more than opposition to Trump. Moreover, Black voters are the very heart and soul of the party, especially in the South. What message does Platner’s nomination send to them? What does it say to Jewish voters? Hell, decent people everywhere?
I’m a proponent of strategic voting, but that doesn’t mean folks have to abandon their moral judgment. That’s what Republicans did in 2016 and look where it’s gotten them (and the nation). If we are truly a party where all voices matter, this guy is not it.
