Once more: the Democratic Party has to stand for something more than opposition to Trump. Moreover, Black voters are the very heart and soul of the party, especially in the South. What message does Platner’s nomination send to them? What does it say to Jewish voters? Hell, decent people everywhere?
Saying "Just gotta hold our noses and get the Senate" is one thing. Pretending this dude isn't a giant douchecanoe and utterly unqualified and demanding we worship him as the Great White Progressive Hero is something else. Something really, really gross. And that's about what I have to say.
