A survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation showed fertilizer costs were up 47%... And 70% of farmers couldn't afford the fertilizer they needed this season. I don't think our farmers feel like there's much art in that deal.
Moody's Analytics estimates the war with Iran has cost U.S. taxpayers $132 billion so far. And it has affected our society much deeper than just at the pumps:
The point is that one person is so obscenely wealthy that you could leave him with $500 billion and still solve massive issues that benefit hundreds of millions of people. It's crazy to think about how someone with so much wealth could fix so many things.
DHS thought the town of Roxbury, NJ wouldn't resist an ICE detention center in their backyards. But the people of Roxbury put up a hell of a fight. And now DHS is looking to offload the warehouse they bought. This is what happens when people stay loud enough for long enough.
Maybe an economy that can mint a trillionaire while millions struggle to afford gas and groceries needs a little reform.
