It must be so cool to live in a functional republic.
This is like the makeup on his hands—thick, clumsy, obvious, and destined to call attention to the very thing it’s attempting to conceal.

When I try to explain to students how corrupt and controlling Huey Long was, I note how he'd announce what the state legislature would approve and what it would deny ahead of its sessions, and then the legislature would do exactly what he said. Anyway ...

The thing is you gotta be obsessed with the Nazi regime to even reach for a Bonhoeffer reference here and you gotta be an incredibly twisted soul to think Bonhoeffer’s nonviolent heroism is the tragedy we can’t repeat in that story.

Trump posts a lunatic rant: "Therefore, to add a slight bit of intrigue but, for the Good of the Nation, I will not approve FISA without THE SAVE AMERICA ACT going along with it. Not complicated, actually, the Republicans fell into a trap. We are cancelling the Senate Hearing RE: DNI today"

When Musk talks of "suicidal empathy," he really means we'll have to cut loose all the civilizational dead weight to save the parts of humanity "worth" saving. “Musk’s vision of the world is extremely anti-humanitarian," one of the authors of "Muskism" tells us. 5/ newrepublic.com/article/2119...
