The Urban Belonging project exhibition brings together the Ipswich Romanian Community, Suffolk Pride and The Suffolk Windrush Select Committee to explore Ipswich's history via personal stories, lived experiences, and community memories. See it at The Hold Ipswich until Saturday 13 June.
It was lovely to welcome the Towne Family Association from America to look at records about their ancestors, including the Map of the manor of Hintlesham (HA167/3/1/1). Seeing it, a tearful Cindy Cole Merton said: "When we came in 2017, it needed so much repair. Seeing it today, it’s wonderful."
