5 things you will probably find in most of my books: - non-human / vampire perspectives - deeply complex characters with muddy moral compasses - gallows humor - gothic vibes / darkly beautiful aesthetic - first person POV Tell me your 5 things!
Addy Bross 🌈 they/xe
- he cries depends hugely on when. He cries when he feels cared about, or when he cares very, very strongly. There are parts of his life that have lacked those emotions.

#AwesomeCharacters I'm not sure I write characters who laugh enough, but I instantly want to give this to Aisferk. He certainly uses light teasing to spread joy. Of all the characters I've written though? I don't even know where to begin looking.🤷 Could possibly be my broken, villainous Dawn.💔😭

#AwesomeCharacters Rider is a broken character. If he's crying it means something reached through that brokenness. Every tear he's ever shed has been bittersweet. Some of his happiest moments have come with tears. That said, if *I* found him crying, I wouldn't believe it was him. How often - 1/2

Those who love in this broken world will bear many sorrows in their hearts. They suffer more not because of fate, but because they choose to. This is a truth my stories accept.

Still looking for thoughts, though I understand I haven't been active enough to likely get any.
#AwesomeCharacters If I found my character crying?😕 Lawcket cries very easily early in the story. He's a small, gentle child. His feelings are easily hurt & he has no practice hiding it, & he feels sad for other creatures very easily. Later he cries less opening, more often silent tears - 1/2
- on his cheeks than real sobs. But he's also aware of a lot that's not here & now in the present, so him crying doesn't necessarily mean something just happened. It could be him remembering happy things that are gone.
