I'm also aware that this bit explains why her siblings weren't there for her "It was a difficult childhood in that there was a lot of religious abuse" and I hope they've worked through their trauma (I don't think they have though)

Sometimes seems that so much of the conflicts of inter-family relationships is just our society coping with the straitjacket into nuclear family's punitive 'normative' in a world where ableness/access to mutual networks & communities have shrunk, & @ the same time social security has been dismantled
