My takeaway from this article is that the OP's siblings sucked. They were happy for her to become the main carer of their parents when she was only 20, and only helped out once their children were older, regardless of the fact that she was caring for them and her own young children at the same time

Having older parents has shaped my life in many ways, including taking on a carer role for Mum and Dad in my 20s.
My parents had me later in life. I was determined not to repeat history
