Sometimes seems that so much of the conflicts of inter-family relationships is just our society coping with the straitjacket into nuclear family's punitive 'normative' in a world where ableness/access to mutual networks & communities have shrunk, & @ the same time social security has been dismantled

My takeaway from this article is that the OP's siblings sucked. They were happy for her to become the main carer of their parents when she was only 20, and only helped out once their children were older, regardless of the fact that she was caring for them and her own young children at the same time
