New birds today:
-Blue-winged teal! Actually I saw these last week but forgot to post.
-Pied-billed grebe. I liked this guy
Honorable mentions:
-saw a red-tailed hawk dive after a mallard in a creek. A Canada goose was also in the scuffle. Didn't seem to get the mallard at all

-Red-headed woodpecker! We saw three of them.

-Got very close to a barred owl. Three were hooting to each other and it pissed off some crows. Friends pic below

So cool to see these guys. I'm a little uncertain about the ID of the ruby crowned, but the goldens were singing and hanging out with me for a while :)
