So, the Dan Dare Kickstarter stole the design for the Yukikaze Mave from the anime/manga/book series Yukikaze. I am not sure who over there thought that stealing a design was a good idea, especially a particularly easy-to-identify design.
This paragraph made me want to give Perfect Tides a try, despite not vibing with its subject matter. Feels like a writer worth looking at.

This man really just copied Yukikaze (a sci-fi plane from a famous JP novel series, made into an anime in the 00’s) painted it red and called it his own design and attempting to sell it.
