The front lawn today, lots of oxeye daisies are out, the field scabious is a bee magnet, the birds foot trefoil is also popular with bees and moths, lots of butterflies around #lawnflowers #wildflowerhour
Churchyards can be good for more than pushing up the daisies - they can be absolute havens for wildlife of many descriptions, including wildflowers.

One of my favourite butterflies of the Alps is the Sooty Copper Lycaena tityrus. Unlike many Lycaenids the male is plain brown and the female (shown) is more well marked. Never abundant, always indicates a good habitat! @europebutterfly.bsky.social
