By the 1990s, provincial cutbacks to post-secondary education drove institutions to develop active international student recruitment strategies to cover operating costs.
Nominations will be accepted from February 3 to April 2, 2026. The official announcement will take place at convocation in May.
The recipient will be presented with a plaque as well as a $1,500 monetary award which is funded equally by the Alumni Association and the Faculty Union.
