An ~interesting thing about our Immigration team's work is that the volume of events they're adding to our timeline has not substantially decreased, even though actions against immigrants are getting a smaller slice of public attention. I think that means the project is working as intended??

And maybe it also points at the gap between what reporters—from indies to nationals—are actually covering vs. what makes it into what we think of as the national conversation. Which are different things! We do this tracking work so things don't fall out of the record when the spotlight shifts away.
In the slightly longer term, it feels like a solid way to ensure that you and everyone you love are rended limb from limb when we hit the wall but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
