There is no reason for any university, school, department, or individual academic to still be at the Nazi Bar, let alone using the Nazi Bar as one’s main online information dissemination platform.

Lesley Stahl just gave everyone in America - and the world - every reason to NEVER trust a single thing she reports or says again.
How can anyone be this dumb?
#60Minutes is DEAD!
@cbsnews.com is DEAD!
And Lesley Stahl is a damn fool who is now complicit with killing journalism!

Indeed, some of the county prosecutors that are refusing to enforce Spanberger's new assault weapons ban are effectively arguing that the sovereignty of the people *within* the borders of these red counties can't be overridden by the state legislature!
With Joe Biden still running the government, what can we expect of these guys?
Really glad that @larryglickman.bsky.social made this point about my thesis on the "de-South-ification" of Virginia (and, possibly, North Carolina and Georgia, too). I submit that we are seeing a real countervailing trend in some places against the "southernization" of politics that many have noted.
If we’re allowed to build houses that could collapse on top of you, we can build a lot more houses!
Remember when President Obama put his feet up on his desk?
I've been a broken record on this for three years and I'll be a broken record for as long as that fucking website exists:

According to @jeremymbarr.bsky.social, Lesley Stahl led a few '60 Minutes' staffers in a champagne toast yesterday, telling them that David Ellison called her up and promised the show would remain independent.
One staffer pointed out Ellison had made that same pledge when he bought CBS last year.

This is bad. At least 9 county prosecutors in pro-Trump areas of Virginia have now openly declared that they won't enforce the assault weapons ban that the Dem state legislature recently passed.
It's a MAGA nullification movement.

Governor Spanberger signed an assault weapons ban. Some county prosecutors in pro-Trump areas say they won’t enforce it. Is a new MAGA nullification movement brewing?
Solid analysis by @gregsargent.bsky.social of developments in Virginia and elsewhere in the South. Interesting in the context of the literature on the "southernization" of American politics.

Bigger story here is states like Virginia are undergoing what I call "de-south-ification." Spanberger's 15-point win shows power shifting away from rural areas in VA. Also to lesser extent in NC and GA. At some point Spanberger will have to address this rebellion.
