if you find GIMP hard to use you probably shouldn't be allowed to drive a car or shop at a grocery store. it's literally just buttons with pictures on them that do the things the pictures represent. you don't even need to be able to read.
when people say FOSS is "hard to use" or "unintuitive" what they often mean is that it's slightly different than the fascist corporate slop they're used to, and that slight difference makes them uncomfortable, and they'd rather wallow in slop than risk learning a new skill

i think we should be understanding of people's fear surrounding the CLI but we shouldn't contribute to the idea that this fear is reasonable. big tech wants you to not know how anything on the computer works so that you're stuck delegating tasks to AI for everything.
