Took a very nice 20mile ride yesterday. Love you, Minnesota, and your beautiful bike paths.
SPA's mission, oft repeated on MPR ads, is "Shaping the minds and the hearts of the people who will change the world."
As in, only kids whose parents can afford $40k/year get to change the world.
"Shaping" includes censoring the student newspaper & allowing students to harass classmates.
I've said that Minneapolis is having a cultural collapse, but we're now seeing subcultures + small scenes starting to really blossom. This summer more than ever both are true.
By the end of the year we'll see more mid-sized venues struggle/close, but neighborhoods + scenes do their own fun.
