The moment one of the fuel storage tanks at the Moscow Oil Refinery exploded during this morning's attack.
This guy's sole academic credential is a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture and he's employed in an architecture school. His entire claim to fame is dragging the University of British Columbia's reputation through the gutter to present derp to segregationists. Patrick Condon is a fraud.
This looks like a trap for lefty parties. I think normies understand there is a shortage, like when family can’t stay because rooms are $400. ABC would love to talk about their opponents supporting blocking hotels and tourism.
I have also done exactly this. In fact I’m due for a 4th time.
North Saanich's target wasy a pathetic 60 homes.
Instead of meaningfully enforcing any of their housing laws, BC gov is spending all their time going after 3 cities whose targets were less than a rounding error to begin with (in terms of metro needs).

One key finding: Liberal places build *more* housing in their existing neighborhoods than do conservative ones.
really interesting charts but possibly misleading to equate this to a measure of NIMBY attitudes. The conservative cities may just allow more sprawl, build more freeways, & have lower prices in suburban areas?
I also wouldn't say more building in the densest areas necessarily codes non-NIMBY.
Forcing a population drop before swinging back to >300k/year growth is just as bad an idea as the sudden surge in temporary migration. Why not gradually approach the target on net rather than swing wildly in both directions over the course of 3-4 years?

Rue de la République, which became pedestrian thanks to the works of the metro built as shallow cut & cover under it during 1973-74.
A similar example of "shallow C&C metro turning a street pedestrian" from the same era is Favoritenstrasse in Wien.
This follows on how many years of the feds showing up with their chequebook to try to get cities to build housing
