Starmer's jibe about Corbyn leaving the Labour party "politically, financially and morally bankrupt" is particularly despicable. Corbyn was a terrible leader, but I'd have his principles over Starmer's utter moral vacuum any day.
Did Starmer really talk about "the country I love?" He's really trotting out all the resignation greatest hits: first Liz Truss, now Theresa May! You can certainly rely on him to fail to have a single original idea, right to the end!
"Something just brushed past my leg!"
I'm guessing, but I imagine the ecosystem in the pool had come to an equilibrium. Without any plants, fish or other biological elements in a new pond, it's bound to quickly turn into algae soup.
Thanks for sharing that. I also studied environmental science so I love the word eutrophication 🤣
And then he talked about "the country I love"! Jeez a total Theresa May, without even her competence or humanity!
It's definitely a problem with social media, it makes people feel free to say things they'd never say to someone in real life.
Then as a side effect it's actually made people more likely to say, and do, despicable things in real life.
"Look on the bright side Keir: at least you won't be resigning in the rain."

It seems absurd to wait until September, given Starmer is a lame duck, but he's determined to attend the European summit in July. He should make big commitments to the EU and dare Burnham to overturn them. But Starmer won't because he was always spineless.

That was always Starmer's problem. He didn't become leader because he was head of a faction. He was selected to be the creature of Maurice Glasman, Blue Labour's sock puppet. He has no particular friends or allies himself, and without McSweeney he's a puppet with cut strings, an empty vessel.
