Waikato Symphonic Wind Band concert on Saturday 20th June at 2pm. St Aidan's Church (24 Thames St). Entry by koha, plus bake sale after (inc. @phdbaker.bsky.social cupcakes/cookies iykyk!) and a raffle. Fundraising for the NZCBA festival.
Fun for all ages, esp. kids or anyone instrument-curious!
In remainder of the week I’m gonna go to my local “meet the candidate” thing in my neighborhood and bang the drum for human rights issues, I’m gonna go to the day of action and shout for my people. I’m gonna be a part of my community.
And I’m going to sing on Saturday night. Find joy, be hope.
I am sure I am not the only one feeling sick and overwhelmed this evening with this world, these wars, those hateful movements, this government, that dehumanising law, those restructures… the list goes on and gets closer and closer to home.
