Just a reminder that while some cities are still debating whether or not to transform a block or two of streets into places for people, this year Montreal transformed 11 such streets across 7 neighbourhoods, equalling 9+kms, from car spaces to people places.

Most communities built past 70 yrs over 1/4 pop who do not drive are restricted to have a person with car to drive them to get an ice-cream, go to school, park, library, shop, public transit, etc.
