I saw a cybertruck with a bumper sticker that said, "vintage Tesla, pre-madness edition," and I don't think there was ever an edition of the cybertruck that was pre-madness. If you dropped money on one of those, you knew full well what you were buying into and who was leading the company selling it.
You’re probably getting to the point where it will be fairly dormant over the summer. You may not get too much new growth if you cut it back now until after the heat of the summer. You could also probably selectively trim around the edges to tame it a bit without cutting it all back.
If you don’t like how overgrown it is now, you can probably trim it all back now and it should regrow, but you will have an unsightly tuft until it does. It will regrow smaller this year though.
I’d probably think about dividing it in the spring to maintain a size better suited for that area.
I’m no expert, so take this as general advice rather than gospel, but you can prune down the tall yellow parts (last years seed heads). It should grow new ones. Generally leave it over the winter and trim it all back in the spring.
This kid’s grandpa was younger than my parents and really into music. He volunteered at KEXP.
This was excellent.
This is the correct take, and if you don't think so, let me tell you in HS my soccer team was getting beat 10-0 and my coach took me off defense and into the forward position just long enough for me to score a goal, then moved me back to defense. Scoring against a better opponent always matters.
I love tilt shift photography, but all I can see is a black image. Guessing it's a bluesky issue. 😞
They made a few updates (Spokane, all five explodey mtns, better fed Bigfoot … ) and uploaded it to Flickr so you can download a higher res version.
I’m running around to a piano recital and two dance performances this weekend. It’s great actually.
