This guy is the classic status quo Dem that everyone hates. Why is he leading?
Had the idea to search for food content on here and typed in 'cooking'. I scrolled through a lot of cartoons of fat hairy men and ambiguously gendered animals fucking before I finally saw a potato salad.
I had hoped that maybe by 2040 we could move past boomer do-nothing Democratic politics, but now that gen Z are voting I'm concerned that millennials were the high water mark for political literacy and now we will just slide into climate chaos and authoritarianism.
Most people aren't paying attention. Will the DNC strategy be to stuff all this bad Trump news into annoying political ads in the runup to the election? Why not buy ad time right now when it's cheaper, and just share facts in a non-partisan way, and just keep doing that?
This thread makes an obvious point that I hadn't quite thought through myself this clearly.
Also, a lot is going wrong atm and Trump clearly owns it all. If the Dems cause a shutdown, it muddies the waters. What's due to DOGE vs the shutdown, who's fault is it, all clarity is lost. Fox will get to blame the Dems for everything bad that happens after that.
I definitely don't know anything special about what's going on in DC but it is also confusing to me why people are so sure that shutting down the govt would hinder rather than help Elon and Trump
Please note, OR Lege. You don’t need a study or a committee. You can just legalize it, state wide. If you care about high quality multi-family housing, this is essential.
the only moments of brilliance in the campaign were the first few weeks out of the gate.
then walz was muzzled and the campaign switched to courting republicans.
a functioning opposition party that represented the working class could spike this photo in the end zone basically forever
