And if you, as a Black person, just found out about Juneteenth when the gov’t made it a holiday, don’t make Juneteenth content. Idc. You don’t actually get what Juneteenth is to a lotta Black folks and it’s cringe.
Like some ppl clearly have no cultural connection to the holiday, no connection that predates it becoming a federal holiday, no connection beyond “it’s a day off.” That’s weird to me.
Did not anticipate Juneteenth skyrocketing to the top of the “holidays with cringe content” list but here we are.
You can tell whose people didn’t celebrate Juneteenth before it was a federal holiday, and that’s not shade, but it’s true.
