Excited to share a new preprint - We identify a characterize a functional interaction between SLC15A4 and LAMTOR1, providing new insights how this transporter regulates mTOR activation & inflammatory responses downstream of endolysosomal TLRs. Congrats to the team! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
How do PTMs affect the binding of small molecule drugs to their target proteins?
Great to see @dereklowe.bsky.social highlight the recent paper by the group of @chrisgparker.bsky.social in "In the Pipeline".

Findings from Prof. Chris Parker's lab show that post-translational modifications (PTMs) can determine whether proteins bind drug-like molecules. Published in Nature Chemical Biology, the study identified 400+ proteins whose druggability depends on modification state. More: https://ow.ly/3OQj50YVecw
Happy to share the final version of this work is now out in @natchembio.nature.com. Lots of additional exciting data! Congrats to all the authors!
New preprint from @kutseikin.bsky.social showing how pharmacologic inhibition of SLC33A1 activates IRE1/XBP1s signaling. w/ @enriquesaez.bsky.social @chrisgparker.bsky.social @landerlab.bsky.social @forlilab.bsky.social & the Birsoy lab (Rockefeller) Check it out👇

Congrats Ben!
Using proximity labeling and a derivatized galectin-3, scientists in the lab of Professor Mia Huang mapped glycan–protein interactions that drive placental cell fusion, published in @pnas.org, offering new insight into placental development.
How can we study target engagement and selectivity of covalent inhibitors? Which electrophilic probes are best suited to study a certain amino acid?
Our study on "Profiling the proteome-wide selectivity of diverse electrophiles" is published in Nature Chemistry.(1/7)

Happy to share the final version of this work out in ACS CS. Inspired by ‘binding-focused’ chemoproteomic methods, we developed a ‘function-focused’ strategy to agnostically identify degradable proteins.
This was a big team effort led by
@inesforrest.bsky.social
and in collaboration with AbbVie.
