The data is clear: Better street lighting reduces crime. That’s why I passed a law – that requires @nyc-dot.bsky.social to add sidewalk lighting to 300 blocks across the city every single year. Looking forward to safer and brighter streets.

The number of vacant NYCHA apartments has ballooned 12-fold over the last 4 years. Amid a housing crisis, this is disgraceful. @nycprogressives.bsky.social are calling for a $250 million investment to repair these units and get 20,000 New Yorkers housed in vacant NYCHA and supportive housing.
