We welcome the progress made through the Scottish Child Payment. This makes a big difference to families struggling to afford the essentials. But it’s still not enough to prevent families needing to use a food bank.

The current plan lacks the scale & urgency needed to meet Scotland's 2030 child poverty targets. So we’re calling on the Scottish Govt to set out a stronger, clearer plan that delivers on its legal commitments & ensures every child has a decent start in life.

New processes, major improvements Martin Hayden of LearnSixSigma.co.uk explores how one @trussellscot.bsky.social foodbank doubled its volunteer effort using simple techniques borrowed from manufacturing
We have joined @aberlourcharity.bsky.social & @endchildpoverty.bsky.social partners to call of a joint Scottish Parliamentary committee focused on ending child poverty. This will be crucial to ensuring Scotland meets the 2030 targets.

Alongside @jrf-uk.bsky.social & key partners, we're concerned the latest Scottish Government child poverty plan doesn't go far enough. We’ve must see bolder action if we’re to meet the legal child poverty targets www.jrf.org.uk/child-povert...

Today, OPFS joins @jrf-uk.bsky.social and partners across Scotland to call for a stronger Tackling Child Poverty Delivery Plan. Around 30% of single parent families live with the devastating consequences of child poverty, something we see every day through the families we support.

Scottish Parliament set a high bar with the Child Poverty (Scotland) Act — but the Act's final delivery plan in March, by its own admission, doesn't go far enough.
