If there's one thing I've learned after decades of this stuff, it's that the bad guys (popo) mostly pretend to have perfect tech, and baloney people into giving up, confessing to shit they didn't do, and generally getting tricked into giving in, guilty or not. They want bodies, not justice.
Probably wasn't a great idea to turn incarceration into the profit center, my fellow Americans.

I like to really lean into the mosaic theory, as well as storytelling, in my security training, and keep it fun. Because being afraid makes one much worse at threat modeling and decision making.

The thing I should add here is this stuff rarely works any where near as reliably as they claim, but they hide their shit behind IP, sec law, and the fact that judges usually don't know much about security.
