There are countless other English-speaking RPGMaker communities that have come and gone. Countless resources, plugins and yes games, were lost forever. Why should I mourn the loss of RMW? Is it because it was an "official" site? After 17 years, I'm just tired, man...
A throwback to my earliest completed project made in RPGMaker VX, developed between 2011-2014. You can grab it here (though I'm not sure if it works anymore T_T) udonfloof.itch.io/enelysion #indiegamedev #JRPG #pixelart
Some more (gigantic) maps from "ANAMNESIS". There is no overworld map, so the majority of areas are interconnected. And yes, there will be fast travel XD So in a year I've mapped roughly 200-ish maps and the game is nowhere near done (4.5 hours out of a potential 25-30). #indiegamedev #jRPG
rpgmakervx.net (my first home), RMN (my 2nd home, no longer active there), HBGames, R3, chaos-project. RMW owed its existence to those fan-sites...
I may not post on RMN anymore (ANAMNESIS was removed because the mods though it was using AI >:c) but I have left a small legacy behind... Two of my games will forever remain on the site's top 25 for most viewed: Enelysion and Tristian: Lady of the Lion.
Map editor of "ANAMNESIS" in RPGMaker MZ vs how it appears in-game. Editor mapping plus a screen tint, subtle lighting and a fog effect that mimics cloud shadows. #indiegamedev #jRPG #gamedev
I do remember R3! I just wasn't as active on it XD
Thank you. It takes a while to get them looking just right but it's always worth it :)
We recently hit ✨500 wishlists! :D✨ Thank you to everyone that has wishlisted the game so far. We're gearing up for a tech demo sometime around September so keep your eyes peeled! #indiegamedev #wishlistwednesday #JRPG
Thank you so much for that. Your game is looking really good as well :D
